A traditional gua sha is cold, flat and silent. The Stonecut Heated Gua Sha is none of those. Its mirror-finish head warms through four heat levels, a high-frequency vibration runs beneath every stroke, and three differently shaped edges fit the jaw, the cheekbone and the brow as though they were measured for them. One button moves between four modes. That is the entire learning curve.

What you will notice

The five-minute ritual

1. Cleanse, then press two or three drops of serum or facial oil into the skin.
2. Press the button to choose your mode and let the head warm.
3. Starting at the centre of the face, glide outward and upward with light pressure: chin to ear, nose to temple, brow to hairline. Five to ten passes along each line is plenty.
4. Finish down the sides of the neck, then wipe the head with a soft cloth. Do not immerse in water.

Skin is left feeling loosened and looking rested, and the ritual is short enough to keep.
